Good morning, all of you crafters out there! Hope you are having a great weekend so far. Guess what? Last night I got a big news from my older brother in Korea that his wife gave a birth two weeks earlier than her due date. Yes, as some of you guys might already notice, it’s a baby girl. Congratulations! I’m now dancing to celebrate his newborn child in my pajamas. My tears were dropping in the bed when I first heard the news since I was SO HAPPY for my brother and his wife. Thankfully they are both in a healthy condition and my brother said his daughter seems cutter than he expected. No doubt! Her face was so bright and beautiful with closed eyes in the photo that my brother sent me. For some reason, newborn baby girl reminds me my younger brother. They looked similar, lol!
Actually I was sorry that I couldn’t see them and give a big hug because I live in so far away from them. Do you think we might have a flight in the near future which brings me Korea within an hour or even two hours? I hope so! I wish I could hold my niece, teeny tiny baby girl, in my arms and give her lot s of kisses.
So today I brought one card to celebrate my brother’s newborn baby girl. I made this card after I talked on the phone with my sister-in-law for an hour a few days ago. I was almost about to send it to my sister-in-law with gifts. Now my niece already came out into the world, I need to change the messages inside that I wrote before. It’s not a big deal and I’m even excited to do it.
For some reason, this card turns out with all the pink colors after all. It’s absolutely weird to me because I used to be a person who dislike to put in a baby between pink and blue according to their gender. So I chose the yellow butterflies to make this card not to look like ALL PINK. Does it work for you?
I think I already talked too much above so I’d like to add one last comment about this card. Please take a look closer at the edge of this card. Yes, I did hand-stitch to make this one more precious and special. To make this look, first I drew the line with ruller along the edges and poked tiny holes with sewing needle tracing the line and then I stitched from scratch. It took whole day, at least I felt I spend all day long for stitching by hands. One more piercing through the paper for white focal frame! Whew… It’s totally time consuming but worthy, isn’t it?
Hope you have a super duper happy sunday and I’ll see you again. Thanks for stopping by. 😉
