Happy Monday, crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend. Today I’m back with my second project to enter in the 10 minute Craft Dash challenge #1. Recently I’m kind of obsessed with making cards in under 10 minutes, since I found this challenge which is very thrilling and addictive. I feel like I’m standing at the starting line in a 100m race, each time I start my project. Time really matters. I’m not joking!
Here are the cards that I came up with last weekend. I was trying to make three cards within 10 minutes so that I could call them a set. I gave it my best shot, but once I got finished with my first card, 7 minutes and 23 seconds had already passed not including the time setting up the supplies on my worktable. Ha-ha! I think I hear someone laughing at me. I know, it was almost impossible to finish three cards in under 10 minutes. At least I tried, so it’s okay. Anyway I was excited ending up with a clean and simple card that is my all-time favorite. Then I kept making cards with no consideration about how long it took. I’m pretty sure that the next two cards were done in less than 10 minutes.
For creating a focal image on my card, I started by stamping the same image four times using a Send a Celebration set from Stampin’ Up. After that, I paper pieced with patience. Yes, that really killed my time. I cut the images with a fine tip scissors just outside of the black-stamped lines. Once I got all the image-cutting done to get the three pieces, I adhered them using 3D foam pads to give them depth and dimension. I love paper piecing that makes my project more colorful and active. For the perfect finishing touch, I just added a little pearl on the center of the flower image.
That’s all I have to share with you today. Actually, I created another project in under 10 minutes. Now you can tell I’m seriously hooked on the 10 minute Craft Dash. 😉 But I’m not entering it in the challenge, because I’m not allowed to submit more than twice.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a beautiful start to a new week!
