Hello September! It sounds like the fall season is almost here, but it’s still hot in Marina del Rey. It means we will have more time to enjoy the lazy days of summer for BBQ parties at the poolside. Yes, I’ll have one with my friends this holiday weekend and next weekend, too. 😉

Back to today’s topic, I’d like to share a personalized Post-it holder that I made for my friend, Jennifer, a few months ago. I was thinking for a while what would be a good gift for her starting a new job, and then I came up with a memo pad holder.

All I needed to make this holder was Kraft paper, brads, an eyelet, some patterned papers, thread, and a scoring board. Actually I made several attempts and failed as many times, because of the difficulty of cutting the exact size of the holder base and putting the eyelet in the right position. And also it took me some time to choose patterned papers that went well together.

I stamped several sentiments onto the inside of the holder so that my friend would feel proud of herself whenever she opens her Post-it holder. I hope she will! 🙂

I gave her these holders and a handmade card together. It made me so happy that I could do something for her. I know it’s a small gift but worthwhile to express my best wishes to her. That’s the one of reasons that I love my hobby, paper crafts, so much.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend with your friends and family! 🙂
