Hello, crafty friends! Have I ever mentioned that I’ve had an idol card-designer since I seriously started card making in 2011? Well, I have. Guess who? She is Kristina Werner who runs the KWerner Design Blog and a YouTube channel as well. I found her blog by chance, and I fell in love with it right away. I’ve checked out her designs and techniques from time to time when I was in need of some inspiration. That’s one of the reasons I became a crafter who is totally into CAS creations.
Here on my blog, I haven’t posted any cards which were modeled after Kristina’s work. Because they were not my original ideas. Although I altered her designs, they are still her ideas. I’m kind of strict about copyright. Anyway, that’s who I am! (Oh, except for the one I made after taking a Clean and Simple Card Making class a few months ago.)
Yet I have no idea why, all of a sudden, I’d like to share the cards that I made this morning after I watched Kristina’s video tutorial which was Color Wednesday #16-Copic Vellum Gradient. Do I just want to show Kristina what I made? Maybe… Ha-ha! It would be a great honor to get her feedback about my cards. I know I’m dreaming. 😉
To make the flower shapes, I used the Agapanthus from Stampendous that I stamped in a watermark ink pad and then white heat embossed. The sentiments are from Inside&Out: Birthday and Inside&Out: Thank You by Papertrey Ink. Although Kristina used a stapler, I chose brads to place my vellums above the white panel.
By the way, I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Kristina for making wonderful video tutorials and sharing lovely creations with all us crafters to learn from and be inspired by. (Kristina, you are simply amazing! Hope you read my post.) If you haven’t heard of Kristina Werner, make sure to stop by the KWerner Design Blog. You won’t be sorry!
Thank you very much for stopping by today. Happy crafting!
