DSC_5262Then I created one layer birthday cards. It’s always good to have extra birthday cards in my stash. I enjoyed making my own background using small images in various colors.

sample_0616I know this is so easy to make, but I still want to share a quick tutorial to show you how I put together my card. 1)Mask off the center of the card front using sticky note. 2)Stamp small flower images from Beautiful Blooms ll stamp set by Papertrey Ink. 3)Stamp small leaves images from Mini Blooms ll stamp set by Papertrey Ink. 4)Remove the mask. 5)Stamp frame image from Bowtiful Additions stamp set by Waffle Flower using versamark ink and heat emboss it using white embossing powder. 6)Stamp the sentiment from Bowtiful stamp set by Waffle Flower.

  1. May, happy 100th cue card day at CASology!!! Your one-layer card had me fooled at first…I thought it was multi-layered until I saw your masking technique. Brilliant and GORGEOUS!

  2. Yay! Love the new challenge and your card for it! I also love that you gave us step by step photos!!!

  3. Wow your card was great and I love that you give instructions. I went to CASology and left a congratuations remark, although I am not sure if I went to the right location.
More importantly thank you so much for giving me an Honorable Mention on the Anniversary card, I so appreciate it. Good luck with Cinderella card, you will get my vote.

  4. Really gorgeous card, May! Thanks for the step by step on your process, too…I really appreciate it! Voted for you at GI…good luck, sweetie!!!

  5. Fab card for the challenge, May. One layer is fast becoming my favourite style. Good luck with your book later this year and thanks for the chance to win x

  6. Beautiful design, May. The tiny little flowers are simply darling. Thank you for sharing your cards with us this week for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. ~Michelle

  7. Hi May, what a lovely CAS-Card. Love the idea with the white embossed frame.

It seems that I am somehow blind, but I don’t find the link to our challenge. Would you be so kind to integrate it somewhere? Best thanks.

Thank you very much for joining us at the Cards und More Challenge.

    Hugs Claudia
