Happy Sunday! Today I’m excited to be joining the CAS on Sunday challenge as a guest designer. The challenge theme is to use a butterfly on your clean and simple card. So I pulled out my two neglected stamp sets: Flutter By from Lawn Fawn and Swingin’ Day from A Muse Studio. If you are my long time follower, you probably know how much I love combining stamps from different company to stretch my creativity. Without further ado, here is what I came up with:

I created one layer card using copic coloring. I colored branches extra black to draw attention to my butterfly. Then I colored the butterfly in with Copics inspired by the color combo HERE. For finishing touches, I added some shimmer on the butterfly. It’s a shame that my camera failed to catch the awesome details on the butterfly. It looks way better with all the glitters in real life.

Since I was so pleased with how my card turned out, I made another one in same theme but different layout and colors. Which card do you like most? Blue or red? Don’t ask me since I adore both cards! Ha-ha! Clean and simple yet vibrant and beautiful at the same time! I hope you enjoyed my cards and got some inspiration.

For those of you who what to see how I put together my card, this is a quick step-by-step photo tutorial. 1)Make card from Neenah Solar White cardstock. Stamp branches from A Muse Studio with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. 2)Stamp butterfly from Flutter By stamp set by Lawn Fawn. 3)Color branches thoroughly with Copic marker: C9 Cool Gray. 4)Color butterfly with Copics: B04, FB2, BG18, G28. 5)Stamp sentiment from Flutter By stamp set. 6)Add some glitter on butterfly using Wink of Stella glitter clear marker.

Well, that’s all I have today. Don’t forget to check out the current CAS on Sunday challenge for more inspiration from the talented design team. Thank you so much for stopping by today and leaving me a comment. Happy crafting!

  1. What a great look with the black silhouette leaves and the brightly colored butterflies! I can’t pick a favorite – both are so eye-catching! Thanks for joining us at the Curtain Call Challenge!
