Happy Friday! Hope you are having a great start to your weekend. Today I’m sharing a few Christmas cards that I made using a variety of stamps from Waffle Flower Crafts. Here is what I came up with:

The idea for this card started with my desire to create a single layer Christmas card–the easiest card to send through the mail to my friends. Then I created a clean and simple Christmas tree card by stamping all the small images from Holiday Labels-Merry Stamp SetA Homemade Christmas Stamp SetSurface-Tag Stamp Set, and Planner Add-on: Weather.

Small images can be great to be used to fill in the shape like a Christmas tree. Depending on the occasion, you can create a heart, star, and etc. The possibilities are endless. So you need to observe what small images you have in your stamp sets.

DSC_4864_wThis is my second card using a same theme but different sentiment. As I did for my first card. I started by  drawing a tree using a pencil and ruler before stamping. Then I used my brand new pigment ink pads from Mama Elephant to stamp the images to shape the tree. Do you like the color scheme that I chose? I couldn’t love it enough! 🙂

The small sentiment from A Homemade Christmas Stamp Set fitted perfectly as my Christmas tree stand. By the way, I used Naturals White cardstock from Stamping’ UP for my both cards as card base.

I made another one using a different card base which is a kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I love the rustic feeling from the paper.

DSC_4895-2_wI had so much fun creating these one layer cards using all the tiny stamps that I rarely use. Then I ended up  making a set of Christmas cards. Hope you love my cards and get some inspiration as well.

  1. What a brilliant idea!!! I have used circles but never thought of Christmas trees, the list of shapes is endless. Will have to sort out my small stamps.
Thank you so much for sharing.
    xx

  2. Your cards are awesome. OLCs are so hard for me, I always end up adding a layer… but your cards are beautiful – so simple, but so beautiful! Thanks for sharing this idea,
    Jessa

  3. What fantastic stamping! Love how perfectly it all fits into the tree shape and great mix of colors, I love those kraft ones!

  4. Hi May, I love the way you mixed the colors and they all look very well coordinated. I haven’t got any Waffle Flower but starting to notice they have wonder and versatile designs on their clear stamps. And you have such clever way of using them to create beautiful cards! Love it!

  5. the tree is wonderful. There are so many holiday stamps and you ordinarily only use a few. With the tree you can go crazy using all of the stamps you have.
