unnamedHello, and welcome to the Spring 2015 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! If you came from the uber talented Jennifer McGuire’s blog, you are right on track! Today I’ve got four cards to share with you showcasing some of the new stamps and dies from Ellen Huston, and here are what I came up with:

DSC_7612

I started by drawing a big speech bubble with a black pen for my first card. Then I stamped the flowers from Bohemian Garden stamp set inside the bubble after masking it off. Next, I colored outside the flowers with Copic marker B02 and added some dots to the big flowers with Copic marker Y19. After that, I stamped the bird and sentiment from Wish Big stamp set. I drew a tiny heart at the end of the sentiment for an extra interest.

For my second card, I used the negative part of die cuts from Wild Garden die set as a stencil to paint watercolors. Then I adhered die cuts onto the watercolored images. I curled up the end of each die cut to add some dimension. I finished off my card with the sentiment from Amazing Women stamp set.

I created my own background for the next card using a variety of images in the Bohemian Garden stamp set. I added the dots to the only big flowers with Copic marker FB2 to highlight them. Next, I adhered four “Beyouful” word sentiments in red to give some thickness to it.

This is my last card that I’m sharing today. I embellished the card with some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish it off. That’s all! I hope you loved my creations and got some inspiration. 🙂
