Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a new challenge over at CASology. This week’s cue card is MUSIC.

dsc_4296When I heard of MUSIC, I immediately thought of my music themed card that I submitted to the Gallery Idol card contest last year. I created my own music volume equalizer using narrow washi tapes in rainbow colors back then, then I wanted to recreate a card in a clean and simple way. Without further ado, here is what I came up with:

I created a part of vinyl record by masking off the circles with Distress Inks: Black Soot and Festive Berries. Then I put some brads in the middle to add an accent. I drew some lines with Uniball white gel pen to resemble the gloss on the record. I finished it off with the sentiment from For the Record stamp set.

Now it’s your turn to play along. There is a wonderful prize up for grabs from STAMPlorations and the winner will have a chance to guest design on the next challenge. Make sure to check out the CASology challenge blog to see how the rest of the design team interpreted the cue word. Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy crafting!
