Welcome to Day 2 of November Release Week from Neat and Tangled. Today I’m so excited to introduce you to my newest stamp set I illustrated for Neat and Tangled: Happy Ornaments.

To create a winter holiday card, I started by heat embossing the ornament images from the Happy Ornaments stamp set with Ranger super fine gold embossing powder.

After masking off the images, I inked background using three shades of blue from Altenew Crisp Inks: Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Dusk.

Next, I made my own mask using a tree die from Merry Little Christmas dies. Then I created a forest scene in three shades of green using a masking technique. The sentiment from Happy Ornaments was heat embossed using Ranger super fine white embossing powder.

I added some ink splatters using Ranger Perfect Pearls on the card front. For finishing touches, I added some shimmer on the ornaments with Wink of Stella glitter clear brush.

This is a video showing you how I created my card. You can watch the video tutorial here or in HD on YouTube. If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up. I really appreciate your support and love.

  2. Hi May, I’m not sure if you’ll get this or not or if this email is one of those “do not reply” email addresses but I’ll give it a try. I have been thinking of my “IG friends” but haven’t been on much in the last few weeks because I haven’t been feeling well. Because of the accident I had a few years ago I have quite a bit of nerve damage in my hands, legs and feet and spend most of the day in pain and not really able to communicate well or do much crafting. I do look at my emails and keep up that way however and just wanted to drop a line and let you know how much I’ve been enjoying the beautiful cards you’ve been making. This Christmas card is absolutely gorgeous as well!! Be well, my friend,Maggie(b1983)
