Happy Friday! Hope you are having a great start to your weekend. Today I’m sharing a dreamy shaker card that I created using awesome stamps from Waffle Flower Crafts. Here is what I came up with:

I wanted to highlight a gorgeous dream catcher image from Tribal Thank You stamp set. I also wanted to create a winter holiday card using non-traditional colors, inspired by the fabulous Miriam’s card. To create my own bluish/purplish background, I used Dylusions ink sprays on a piece of white cardstock.

The gold embossed dream catcher looks really amazing on a sprayed background. To make my background to have richer color, I sprayed inks more than three times over the paper. I really love how my backdrop turned out. So vibrant and magical! What do you think?

This is a step-by-step tutorial on how I put together my card. 1)Spray some Dylusions ink spraysVibrant Turquoise and Crushed Grape, over the entire piece of heavy-weight white cardstock. 2)Create a window using a circle die from Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles die set. Then heat emboss the sentiment from A Homemade Christmas stamp set with gold embossing powder. 3)Cut one piece of acetate and glue it to the inside of circle window. Then create a thin ring out of gold glitter paper with two circle dies. Next, adhere it on the acetate window. 4)Stamp the dream catcher from Tribal Thank You stamp set on a piece of inked paper. Then heat emboss it with gold embossing powder. 5)Fill up the circle window with sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and Neat and Tangled. Then cover the back using foam tape. 6)Adhere the shaker panel on a piece of gold glitter paper. Then adhere the panel directly to the card base.

If you are one of my Instagram followers, you might see the photo of my failed attempts that I shared last night. (Check it out HERE.) It was kind of proof that I kept trying until I came up with these shaker cards. I was so frustrated that I spent whole day creating cards and end up with nothing but mess. But my crafty followers said it happens often to them, too. For some reason, it comforted me. It’s always good to know that I’m not the only one doing it. I really appreciate all of your support and encouragement.

Thanks to my sweet friends, I managed to make these stunning cards, at least to me. 😉 I had so much fun getting my hands inky and creating shaker cards. I’m also glad that I tried new color medium to create my background. There was so much going on but it worked perfectly.

That’s all I have today. Hope you love my cards and get some inspiration as well. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!
