Hi everyone! I’ve had a cold for a couple of days and spent most of my time in bed. I definitely wasn’t in a good condition for card making. Then this morning a little lightbulb came on in my head when I found the cue word: Book at the CASology challenge. I didn’t want to miss the moment when my creativity was waking up. So I dragged myself out of bed and pulled out my supplies.

Here is my card that literally features a “book.” Right! I made a mini book using some paper from My Mind’s Eye. I cut the 6×6 paper into 6 pieces and darkened the edges of them using Blending Tool & Antique Linen Distress Ink. Then I scored each paper in half and threaded them with brown string.

After that, I stamped one of cup images from Fiskars Latter Love and created a cup of hot latte with paper-piecing technique. Next, I placed it next to my book using some dimensional adhesive. Then I added the sentiment from My Favorite Things on a strip of kraft cardstock and put some eyelets on both sides as an interest. To finish off my card, I drew dash lines around the card base using a brown marker.

I love the way my card turned out. The book really goes together with a cup of coffee in my page. What do you think? Hope you like it and get some inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting!
