Good morning, all y’all! Jen picked my A Happy New Year card as the winner of the CASology week #25 “New” challenge. So I have the privilege to be guest designer for CASology challenge this week. I’m honored to play along with a talented design team over there.

Week 27 - Blue

The theme is to create a clean and simple card inspired by cue word “Blue”. Actually I’m not a big fan of something blue. I usually prefer to have a pink or red color on my projects. So when Melissa provided me with a cue card “Blue”, I knew it was mentally demanding. That’s why we call it a “Challenge”, right? 😉

So here is the card which is my guest designer project for the CASology challenge week #27. I created one regular card and another mini card to coordinate with it. I opted to make the cards look like they go together. FYI, I was inspired by a beautiful outfit I saw at the Runway Inspired Challenge.

2

I started by stamping the flowers from PTI Flower Fusion #6 on a white card base using Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I simply colored them in with Copic markers : B04 Tahitian blue, B82 Fluorescent dull blue. The coloring took me a little bit of time, so I needed the patience.

FYI, I repeated stamping the flower image multiple times to create movement on my CAS cards. Can you imagine that there are bunch of flowers seamless flowing across the corners? The viewer’s mind continues the pattern. 😉

Then I stamped the lovely sentiment from PTI Inside & Out:Thank You. For some finishing touches, I added the blue dome studs in the middle of each flower using an i-rock tool. That’s all!

I’m so pleased with how these cards turned out. Pretty easy one-layer cards! Plus, clean and simple but vibrant and stylish! What do you think? I hope you have enjoyed the cards that I’ve shared with you today.
Thank you so much for stopping by. And don’t forget to create a card for the current CASology Challenge. I can’t wait to see what you create with this week’s cue card!

  4. I’m just getting in under the wire this week, as it’s been busy. I wanted to make sure I came by to tell you how much I love these two CASlicious cards! They are so bright and cheery!!

  5. Hi May, two lovely CAS cards, the colour looks fab. I noticed you have not mentioned Make It Monday as a link for this weeks linky party. Could you please edit your post to include that so your entry will be a valid one. Thanks.
