Hello, crafty friends! Welcome to Altenew March 2015 Blog Hop! Today the design team girls are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate the release of Dies and Antique Trims. If you came from the Altenew’s blog, you are right on track! I’ve got two cards to share with you using the new release:

For my first card, I stamped the bottle from Bottleful of stamp set using Distress Ink Peacock Feathers. Next, I painted it with watercolors, and then I drew some stems to complement my image.

After that, I stamped the leaf from Vintage Roses set on the card base. Then I added the flower from the same set and cut out with the matching die after stamping the sentiment from Super Script set in brown.

Before I started painting my bottle image, I spent almost two hours practicing my watercolor skills. I think the time and effort I put into the bottle was paid off. What do you think of my watercolored bottle?

For my next card, I stamped the gorgeous flower images and leaves from Vintage Roses set on a piece of grunge paper. Then I made a black ink splatter using Heidi Swapp Color Shine and added a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins to embellish my card.

I used the artistic caligraphy “hello” from Super Script set, stamped in black, and cut out with the matching die. Next, I popped it up withe dimensional adhesive after stamping the sentiment from Figure Effects set in black.

I wasn’t sure how to build images from Vintage Roses set until I referred to the sample sheet found HERE.  I’m now comfortable with using the building stamps through much practice. Anyway, I hope you loved my creations and got some inspiration. 🙂

It is now time to head on over to Jocelyn’s blog to see what creation she has to inspire you all. I am sure she has something amazing made up. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy crafting!

  40. I love the cards you made but I wish you gave more details about them, specially the inks and products used. Like I would like to know what combination of inks you used for the flowers. I have the same stamp and I find it difficult to get nice combinations. Also what watercolours did you use? Thanks.
