blog hop banner May 15Hello, and welcome to the Altenew May 2015 Blog Hop! If you came from the Altenew’s blog, you are right on track! Today the design team girls are sharing some fabulous projects to celebrate the release of Crisp Dye Inks, and here are what I came up with:

To highlight the gorgeous ink colors, I created a one layer card with stamped background. I started by drawing some guide lines along the edges of my card base using ruler and pencil. Then I stamped the sentiment from Ori Kami set at the bottom of my card with Jet Black ink.

After masking off the edges with sticky notes, I first stamped big flowers and then filled in the gap with small flowers from Vintage Flowers set. Once I was done stamping, I erased the pencil lines to finish it off.

This is a close-up of my card. I used the Coral Berry ink and Ruby Red ink for the big flowers. Don’t you love the crisp colors? They look so beautiful in real life! Today Altenew releases twelve dye inks, and I already can’t wait to get more ink colors. 🙂

For my second card, I created another stamped background using different color combination. This time I used the Caramel Toffee ink and Paper Bag ink for the big flowers. FYI, I stamped the leaves from Lacy Scrolls set and the dots from Striped Flowers set to complement the stamped background.

It took me long to stamp all the images in various colors, but I love how my cards turned out. What do you think? Hope you loved the cards and got some inspiration.
