*Yay! This card was chosen as the Winner of the ‘ABC’ Challenge #7. So my card is now featured in the winner post found here. Thank You Ladies!*

Good morning, everyone! Christmas is just around the corner. I spent the last weekend putting up my beautiful Christmas tree and hanging stockings around the house with holiday spirit. Here is some good news! For the second time, I’ve been chosen as one of the participants for the ‘All That Glitters’ Christmas Craft challenge at May Arts this month. They provided me with four colors of metallic ribbon — two yards each for free. Then I was supposed to create from my imagination some new craft projects using the ribbons. I’d like to share with you one of the projects that I finished in the last couple of days.

The layout of my card was inspired by Deconstructed Sketch No.79. FYI, all the patterned papers I used were from Recollections 6×6 paper pads called Holly Day Wishes and Sugar Plums. And the sentiment is from PTI’s Signature Greetings stamp set. Actually I was planning to make a Christmas card, and realized I had no sentiment stamp that would have fit in the white space in the middle of the card. Here is why I ended with a birthday sentiment. This kind of card would be great to give someone who has a birthday in December. Right? I’m looking at the bright side. Ha-ha! 😉

The most time-consuming part of the process was embellishing the white message panel above the red metallic velvet glitter ribbon. I inked the edges of the panel with distress ink and put one brad through each of the four corners. Then, I affixed gold studs all around the panel using an i-rock tool to add an extra accent. To finish off the card, I created a wreath-shaped element using some twisted gold metallic crochet and placed it on the left side of the sentiment.

That’s all for today. I need to make another project using the rest of ribbons that I received. What are you woking on today? I’d like to hear from you what projects you have in your mind.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get some inspirations from my card.
